For International Students
Kyoto Art School is located in the center of Japan’s historic city, Kyoto. Our school has been successfully sending numerous students into different universities of arts, especially in or near Kyoto. We take on a role of bridging young art students with universities. We have assisted many international students in getting accepted to various universities such as Kyoto Seika University, Kyoto University of Art & Design, Seian University of Art and Design and Kyoto Saga University of Arts.
To get accepted into these universities of arts, you not only need to pass the required Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) but also the exam in specialized subjects. These exams in specialized subjects differ by university, however, usually you will be assigned to sketch for a few hours. In this exam, you will be required to show a true-to-life drawing that is based on your careful observation. Even if you do not have any experience in Still Life Drawing, you will not have any problem. Most of our students did not have any experience before they started coming to our school either.
There are a lot of International Students attending Kyoto Art School and there they are creating a work of art every day. All the instructors at our school have majored in the arts. Let us prepare you for the entrance exams, together we will succeed.
